Role Overview

Implements, operates and assists global business unit office and project users in running the Procurement Automation applications suite and other associated systems. Proactively monitors the operation of computer hardware, software and network status. Analyzes and resolves operational problems, taking corrective action as necessary. Provides advice to users on correct software usage and conducts training classes as requested. Performs administrative duties of moderate complexity, which entail knowledge of, and adherence to, established procedures.

Installs Procurement Automation software components, performs upgrades and provides ongoing technical support.

Initiates requests for resolution of both hardware and software problems encountered during implementation and operations of Procurement Automation applications.

Supports global business unit and project personnel in the use of Procurement Automation applications, including any requirements involving set up, training, metric derivation and monitoring, writing and maintaining system documentation, and uploading data from other applications.

Analyzes and resolves problems relating to hardware, software or network related errors.

Basic Qualifications

Knowledge of distributed systems, relational database systems and Object Orientated Methodologies.

Knowledge of programming, including SQL, VB, .ASP, HTML

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based, networked, computing environments

Knowledge of standard office productivity tools, including Oracle, TOAD and Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Access.

Knowledge of other standard applications used by Engineering, Procurement and Construction.

Experience and knowledge of data processing operations.

Skilled in oral and written communication.

Additional Information

Candidate should have a MIS/CISBachelors Degree with 1-3 years of experience in supporting applications based in supply chain
