Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or related field
Minimum 9 years prior work experience working in the Structural Engineering field with a majority of experience in Bridge Analysis and design.
NY PE required or ability to obtian NY PE within 6 months of hire
Project Management Experience and senior level technical experience leading teams of engineers on large & complex projects
Design / Build experience
Experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and other Metropolitan area transportation agencies Strong seismic and wind analysis background
Experience in performing the analysis and modeling of complex bridge structures
Experience in designing bridge decks, piers and footings
Prior experience using LARSA, ADINA, STAAD Pro 2003, SAP 2000, AutoCAD, and other structural modeling software programs
Experience performing bridge load ratings using current AASHTO and AREMA codes this includes ASD, LRFD, and LRFR methods
Valid Driver's License

Our Infrastructure Division is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Level Structural Bridge Engineer, with excellent communication skills, for immediate employment in the New York City Office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate previous experience in Structural Engineering, specific to bridge, retaining wall, and other transportation structures. • Lead the technical performance for bridge projects as part of an established structural engineering team. May be PM on moderate sized Bridge design projects • Supervise, Perform or check structural analysis, including Finite Element Modeling, of existing and proposed bridge and earth retaining structures to determine member forces, stresses and, deflections • Supervise, Perform Seismic and other dynamic analysis of bridge, earth structures, and building structures to determine seismic vulnerabilities and design retrofits • Perform & check load ratings of structures to determine the safe load carrying capacity of bridge and tunnel structures • Coordinate with other URS staff members to ensure that project goals, budgets, and schedules are met • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above
