Minimum Requirements: • BS in relevant scientific or engineering discipline (environmental science/engineering, atmospheric science, meteorology, physics, chemistry) • 3-5 years of analyses and modeling of air quality projects in California • Experience in working with local, California and federal agencies on complex projects • Experience with air quality analyses on complex industrial and infrastructure projects • Experience working individually and in a team environment with other technical specialists • Experience developing air quality modeling studies and running current generation air quality models • Working knowledge of technical aspects of air quality analyses (dispersion modeling, emissions control, compliance and regulatory review) • Experience with Air Pollution Control/Air Quality Management Districts in California • Conversant with regulatory requirements related to power, industrial and oil & gas facilities • Experience with CEQA and NEPA air quality and GHG requirements • Exposure to and interest in contributing to business development efforts (assistance with proposal writing, and presentations) • Excellent interpersonal, organizational , presentation and technical writing skills • Proficient in MS Office (WORD, EXCEL) • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: • Assist with management, design and performance of air quality modeling assessments. Conduct air emission inventory calculations and use air quality dispersion models to analyze air quality impacts for source(s) of pollutant emissions (i.e., industrial, utility, commercial, institutional). • Ability to work in a team environment and individually to prepare permit applications, provide compliance support and related analyses and documentation. • Assist with managing projects including technical analysis, report preparation and client liaison. • Conduct application of various standard industry and regulatory computer models to calculate emissions or air quality and health impacts of emissions and document results in technical reports. • Meet with clients to discuss and present results of analyses and assist with evaluating needs for additional analyses and opportunities for growth of client accounts related to air quality • Stay current on air quality and GHG regulations. • Keep abreast of new and proposed regulatory initiatives related to monitoring requirements The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above.
