TNC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Project Manager II manages and leads medium-scale, complex IT projects. For these projects, s/he establishes project goals and success factors, develops project plans, budgets and schedules with input and buy-in from key stakeholders and team members, and leads the project teams to successfully achieve those goals in the most cost-effective and time-saving manner possible. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Project Manager II monitors and measures project progress, conducts corrective action as necessary, communicates project status information to all stakeholders, performs risk management, issue resolution and conflict management, and controls project scope and quality. S/he ensures coordination between multiple TNC departments, TIS units, TNC partners, vendors and volunteers.S/he obtains go/no-go decisions at all project decision points from appropriate project governance committees, and identifies and obtains approval for all project deliverables from the appropriate QA review teams. S/he leads the cross-organizational, cross-functional project team in using TIS methodologies and processes, and ensures all TIS standards are met. The Project Manager II contributes to the development and enhancement of IT methodologies, processes and standards, creates templates, and selects and implements project management tools. As needed, S/he researches and incorporates industry best practices as appropriate for TIS. S/he provides project management mentorship for project leads as requested, and works with supervisors of team members to assist in their professional development. TNC BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
