Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent college or university.
• Minimum seven years of relevant experience in general civil engineering projects.
• Registration and designation as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in Hawaii.
• Diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
• Utilization of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of sciences and disciplines.
• Ability to solve complex issues with limited direction.
• Knowledge of capabilities and application of CADD drafting and design software.
• Diversified knowledge of technology, materials, equipment, design concepts and construction techniques.
• Able to work effectively with teams and within time budgets and schedule constraints
• Fluent English communication skills including verbal and writing
• Computer skills, including ability to use MS Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance.

Job Description:
URS Infrastructure and Environmental Division is seeking a talented, productive Senior Civil Engineer, for immediate employment in the Honolulu Hawaii office. The successful candidate will be motivated and team oriented, and will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding group of engineers and drafters in our Honolulu office. The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of civil and infrastructure projects, including Wastewater Pumping and Collection, Elevated Guiderail, Roads and Highways, Site Development and Water System projects. URS provides our employees with interesting and professional challenging projects and assignments.
Responsibilities:
• Work with senior project managers and lead engineers, to support the full range of project responsibilities including client management, agency coordination, production scheduling, coordinating with sub consultants and other URS offices, technical input and reviews, time and budget management, resource management.
• Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work as a part of a major project or of a small-moderate scope project.
• Resolves issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements.
• Independently prepares and directs design calculations and reports.
• Verifies that applicable codes and engineering standards and practices are being met.
• Plans and prepares, directs preparation of, and reviews technical specifications according to the contract documents.
• Performs constructability reviews of designs, materials and building techniques.
• May develop and evaluate project plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
• Reviews and approves scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments.
• Assisting Project Managers, tracks overall financial performance of task assignment. This will include coordinating with the Project Manager to monitor sold time and work backlog on task
• Conducts peer reviews and makes technical presentations.
• Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
• Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
• Delegates work to, mentors, trains and supervises less experienced staff to complete assignments.
• Assists with proposals to provide services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
• Assigns tasks to and directs engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
• Learn the URS Quality Management System (QMS), and be responsible for quality actions and documentation of QMS records for assigned tasks.
• Direct, prepare and maintain project documentation including meeting agendas and minutes, field notes, records of basis of design and design decisions, prepare Basis of Design Reports.
• Make occasional site visits and document conditions in the field.
• Participate in client meetings with project team.
