Minimum Requirements: • B.S. Civil Engineering • Minimum of nine years of relevant engineering experience in utility systems design including water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, force main systems, and pump stations. • Professional Engineer registration required • Advanced project management and client management skills • Ability to obtain URS Project Manager certification within six months • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 1) Lead project teams in the planning and/or design of municipal engineering projects involving water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, force main systems, and pump stations. 2) Design municipal water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, force main systems, and pump station including preparation of technical reports, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. 3) Delegates work to, trains, mentors and supervises less experienced staff to complete assignments. 4) Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering for a larger scope projects. 5) Develop and evaluate project plans. 6) Manage multiple projects. 7) Project management activities will include development and implementation of project execution plans and procedures, including but not limited to: management and contract administration, document control, communication and reporting, subcontractor management, procurement cost and contingency control, scheduling, QA/QC, risk avoidance and closeout. 8) Engage in client service management and business development activities. 9) Provides advice and consultation to client on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations.
