Minimum Requirements:
BS in Computer Science (MS preferred) and 16+ years experience developing and leading large-scale technology engagements with at least 5 years in a Federal Govt environment. Requires proven track record leveraging technology as key driver and differentiator to win new business.
Experience architecting solutions and service offerings leveraging Cloud computing and virtualization technologies; Data Center Consolidation initiatives; and demonstrated knowledge of Big Data and Real-Time analytics tools and techniques.
Knowledge of Apache Hadoop, MapReduce, distributed file systems, and frameworks for clustering; Experience architecting secure end to end solutions (including mobile computing platforms); Knowledge of NIST Security Controls; Deep understanding of Federal Enterprise Architecture framework and SOA; Experience with IT automation and rapid service provisioning tools and techniques
Experience developing and infusing new service offerings through large organizations; Design and Architecture experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server; Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies, social networking, and emerging digital interfaces; Up-to-date understanding of market trends and applying emerging technologies
Key Qualifiers:
Proven track record winning Federal business as technical leader developing next generation, innovative, highly cost effective, highly secure, end to end solutions. Requires excellent technical proposal writing skills.
Deep knowledge of major technology initiatives, emerging trends, Govt mandates, and emerging industry standards.
Has worked collaboratively with diverse teams, including business development, capture managers and program executives.
Must be adaptable, able to engage on a wide range of business solutions, including large, complex and leading-edge projects; provide expertise to identify and translate complex system requirements into repeatable solutions; development of white-papers; strong customer presentation skills, ability to present effectively to CIO level; recent experience publishing in respected industry journals.
Must be able to pass/maintain DoD security clearance.

URS Federal Services has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Solution Architect / Group Director to lead a team of highly skilled technical professionals within the URS Advanced Technology Group (ATG).
The individual will be responsible for developing cross-domain, next generation technology solutions ranging from Cyber
Security to Cloud Computing, to developing innovative Big-Data/Analytics solutions.
The candidate will have extensive experience with multiple Hardware and Software Environments and working with complex heterogeneous environments.
The candidate shall possess strong communication and presentation skills and be experienced interacting with executive staff, business development resources, and technical professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Lead Technical Team in development of innovative, advanced, differentiated solutions in response to customer RFPs and RFIs
• Lead Technology professionals in development of complex solutions and new service offerings
• Develop technology solutions focused on improving efficiency
• Gather opportunity requirements, and subsequently developing solutions that establish URS industry leadership through innovative Solutions Briefings and other documents and presentations
• Develop reusable solution content for proposal and presentation generation
• Develop specifications for rapid prototype development
• Contribute to development of best practices and URS Intellectual Property
• Provide leadership to mentor and guide Solutions Architects in ATG
