Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Must have initial 40-hour initial HAZWOPER certification and annual 8-hour refresher training • Three years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health • Three years experience certifying hazardous waste documents • Three years experience with waste handling activities • Must have thorough knowledge of safety procedures for proper waste handling • Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA, State, and DOD safety laws and regulations • Strong ethic and professional demeanor • Must have a valid driver's license • Must have good oral communication, and interpersonal skills • Must have valid driver's license • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: Do the best work of your life! Incumbent Responsibilities: • Provide on-site support services for the Hazardous Waste Management Program at Marine Corps Base Hawaii • Ensures all OSHA, State, and DoD safety laws and regulations are met • Responsible for the certification of hazardous waste documents • Management of hazardous and non hazardous waste processing operations, including waste collection, waste sampling, waste accumulation, and preparation for transportation • Oversee weekly safety inspections and safety training, and ensure proper documentation.
