CH2M HILL Light Rail Design/Project Manager - Baltimore, MD

Our Light Rail Design/Project Management career path is your chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale Transit & Rail projects. Each day, you will be the face of CH2M HILL projects and pursuits. You will have the opportunity to be a Project/Design Manager on large Transit & Rail Design and Design-Build projects throughout the northeast geography and will be responsible for managing project teams to pursue work, perform preliminary and final design engineering and prepare documentation to satisfy the requirements for federally funded transit projects.

Our Light Rail Design/ Project Manager:

Leads design project scoping, development and design reviews
Have full managerial responsibility for key aspects of Rail projects including scope development, cost control, staff management, quality control and cash management on both Design and Design-Build projects.
Actively manages project's budget, schedule, program project communications, and documentation
Satisfies client requirements as well as contractor requirements on Design Build projects.
Administers relevant aspects of a formal internal safety and quality control programs
Coordinates project planning and work efforts and conducts reviews work being performed
Responsible for leading, managing and delivering quality civil / rail transportation projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client and contractor in the case of design-build projects
Identifies and markets additional business opportunities with key Rail clients
Serves as a leader or key team member on Client Service Teams

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline
15+ years of experience in the design, management, construction and implementation of LRT / Rail / Transit projects
Experience as a design manager, lead designer, designer on design-build projects.
Experience in LRT Track Geometry.
Experience managing successful, large rail transit projects
Working / technical knowledge of rail systems (track, Signal, Communications, structures)
Working knowledge of railway operations / infrastructure preferred
Understanding of FRA rail geometry criteria and regulations
Working knowledge of light rail engineering

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
