CH2M HILL- Piping Designer Jobs- Durango, CO

Our Piping Designer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting, small to large scale Energy & Chemicals projects. As a Piping Designer, each day you will be an important team member as you participate in the design, coordination, execution of the many Energy & Chemicals projects. You should be a self motivated, detail oriented professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Piping Designer.Our Piping Designers: - Prepare a variety of moderately difficult to difficult engineering and construction drawings for a complete phase of a project utilizing various design packages
- Manage drawings and deliverables for squad check and document control
- Ensure compliance with client design standards and specifications
- Review manufacturers' or fabricators' prints for conformance with contract specifications
- Posses a good working knowledge of all disciplines
- Have a good understanding of engineering work processes and project execution
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of design concepts with minimal engineering input and a proficiency in utilizing manual and computer-assisted techniques for difficult design applications
- Perform field assignments as assigned
SPECIAL NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Four Conrners area. CH2M HILL will not sponsor a work visa to fill this position (e.g. H1B visa, etc,). Basic Qualifications - 5 years design experience using AutoCAD
- high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with 3D design packages such as CADWORX, AUTOPLANT or SMARTPLANT
- Associates degree in Drafting or Technical School CAD certification desired
