CH2M HILL- Sr CAD Administrator Jobs - Bellingham, WA

Our Sr CAD Administrator Position will offer you an exciting opportunity to work in our Bellingham, WA office which specializes in the engineering and design of Refineries; Chemical and Petro-chemical plants; Natural Gas Power plants; LNG Facilities; Pipelines and Compressor Stations; Fuel Storage and Loading Terminals; and other heavy industrial facilities. Each day you will be part of a team that ensures an integrated, efficient and reliable intelligent 3D design software platform. You should possess professional experience in, configuring and supporting 3D CAD Plant projects, have a strong technical background and possess a desire to learn and grow with each new project.
Our Sr. CAD Administrator: - Serves in a high-level technical role for successful creation and support of 3D projects
- Has a very strong working and administrative knowledge of AutoDesk AutoCAD
- Is able to troubleshoot and solve technical support issues as they arrise
- Experience and administration of integrated Bentley AutoPLANT 3D, Intergraph CADWorx and Projectwise projects
- Is self-motivated and has a solid understanding of project work and strong leadership skills.
- Sets up work share projects across multiple offices
- Continuously implements new and improved design software capabilities
- Organizes formal design software training for engineering staff
- Helps create and maintain engineering standard work processes and procedures regarding the design software and its application
- Provides input to project proposals including labor and cost estimates
- Meets with clients to discuss their standard and procedures
- Provides technical oversight to the design process
- Quickly resolves issues associated with the design software
- Regularly checks engineering deliverables for quality and accuracy
- Works closely with the design teams to ensure that standards set up at the project commencement are maintained in line with the quality targets
- SmartPlant 3D administration is a plus
- Has an understanding of design practices and design automation
- Possesses strong communication skills and can write clearly and effectively
SPECIAL NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates residing in the greater Bellingham area. CH2M HILL will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H-1B visa, etc.) to fill this position. Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CADD software, 3D modeling and plant design
- High School Diploma / GED
- Technical knowledge of design software platforms, specifically AutoDesk, Bentley and Intergraph products
- Understanding of how to integrate designs that contain multiple disciplines and occur in multiple remote locations
- Experience and understanding of design practices including checking processes, quality assurance and design automation
- Previous Sr level CAD Administration
- Technical writing
Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with CADWorks and SmartPlant 3d
- Bentley AutoPlant
- AutoDesk Plant 3D
- SQL, LISP, VBA Programming
- Industry experience in 3D Plant design
- Technical training
