Senior Program Manager, Firmware About Tesla "Tesla's goal is to accelerate the world's transition to electric mobility with a full range of increasingly affordable electric cars. The Role We are currently seeking a Program Manager to work on the Tesla Firmware team. This role will interact directly with technical team managers to track deliverables, maintain schedules, facilitate decision making and to set expectations with other teams. This role will work with outside companies to integrate requirements into the overall workflow of the team. In this position the Program Manager must be ready to make decisions and weigh the impact they have to multiple programs. Responsibilities This position will manage relationship with customers, create objectives that meet the needs of our customers and are achievable by our organization. The program manager will manage the internal milestones and keep the customer in sync with the status of the project. The right candidate must have the ability to think both strategically and tactically while working in an energetic, fast paced environment. Requirements A proven track record of 5+ years managing complex software development projects, working with contributors across multiple disciplines Experience managing customer relationships and risk management Expertise balancing internal resources in a climate of competing projects and priorities Ensure internal teams run as smoothly as possible by putting in place appropriate program management processes. Excellent communication skills Experience working with OEM's and/or electric powertrains is a plus BS degree in EE/CS/ME or equivalent Tesla Motors is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
