Job Description: 

Provide cultural resource management services for KLJ projects in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner.

 

Essential Functions

  • Adhere to project budget and schedule
  • Project manager on designated projects
  • Participate and facilitate in meetings with stakeholders and clients
  • Read and interpret field data to assist with project management and effectively communicate to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public
  • Provide direction, review, and support to the group by leading projects; assuring proper practices and techniques
  • Instruct, train, and mentor group members and support staff
  • Provide written and oral communication
  • Coordinate with Federal and State Agencies
  • Must have a valid drivers license and be able to operate motorized vehicles
  • Provide quality control by reviewing work to ensure compliance with KLJ quality standards
  • Coordination of business development and marketing strategy
  • Respond to RFPs (request for proposals) and lead interviews, project scope, estimates, schedules, reports, environmental impacts, permits, and contracts

 

Responsibilities

  • Review completed pedestrian inventory, site testing and artifact illustration
  • Coordinate with project manager regarding estimates, schedules, reports and permits
  • Maintain project correspondence, records, field notes and reports
  • Perform Class II reconnaissance inventories along with Class III intensive inventories
  • Completion and submittal of site forms
  • Effectively deal with difficult situations and confrontation both internally and externally
  • Market to existing or potential clients and obtain work
  • Prepare forecast of workload for assigned staff and closely monitor backlog

 

Qualifications

Education:

A Masters degree in anthropology or archaeology and 10+ years of experience is required.

Preferences:

Supervisory and project management experience is preferred.
