Minimum Requirements: • Must have BS Degree in the physical, natural or biological sciences • Minimum 4 years of work experience in physical, natural or biological sciences • Possess demonstrated knowledge of training land management and military readiness • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical and problem solving skills • Must have strong computer skills (MS Office) and, GIS and GPS knowledge • Must have a Security Clearance/Secret Level • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: The Infrastructure & Environment division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented RTLA Coordinator for immediate employment for the Herndon office, based in Hawaii. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in land management specific to US Army ITAM (Integrated Training Area Management) Programs. Incumbent Responsibilities: • Support the RTLA component of the URS managed ITAM Program and work with the LRAM Coordinator, for Range Division Hawaii (RDH) • Provides support to ITAM program through scientific research, sampling, and monitoring of vegetation composition and general land condition of the installation's training areas • Supervises and leads field crew through basic data collection, management, GPS usage, and vegetation sampling techniques • Prepares monthly status reports for RTLA activities, and annual report documenting field season's activities and monitoring results • Develops and edits protocols for Range Training Land Assessment program • Acts as point of contact between ITAM program and contracting company • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed above
