CH2M HILL Federal Audit Manager, Englewood-Denver, CO

Our Contracts and Compliance career path provides you with an opportunity to own, manage, and drive CH2M HILL's compliance strategies and initiatives. As a Federal Audit Manager for the firm, you will be responsible for supporting client audits, compliance testing and documentation, and preparation of Contract Audit Group deliverables. You should be a self motivated Federal Audit professional with extensive experience working with a government compliance program and a desire to grow personally and professionally with each government project.

Our Federal Audit Manager :

Keeps Director and senior management apprised of current and potential audit issues and recommends and/or develops solutions and policy changes to mitigate the financial impact on the firm.
Serves as liaison with directors and managers of various corporate functions to improve systems, evaluate policy changes to minimize audit risk and ensure compliance with Federal rules and regulations.
Monitors changes in government contract cost regulations to determine the impact on CH2M HILL accounting practices.
Recommends necessary changes to the firm's accounting practices and/or overhead rate structure.
Serves as the primary interface with the firm's Government and client auditors regarding incurred cost, systems, pre-award and post award audits.
Provides guidance and direction to audit staff that respond to the auditor's requests to ensure that responses are timely and comprehensive.
Coordinates with business group leaders, project managers and contract administrators during the audit.
Leads others, directs the analysis.
Performs very high level calculations and analysis.
Manages projects without leveraging the entire group. Delegates tasks to professional/support staff.
Normally works without supervision.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
Minimum 8 years of Federal Government compliance experience
10 + years experience in accounting, audit or compliance
Experience with a major government contractor OR as a consultant to major government contractor
Advanced knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), generally accepted audit standards (GAAS) and generally accepted Government audit standards (GAGAS)

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the basic qualifications the following are also preferred:

CPA, CMA, CIA
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience with a major government contractor OR
Experience as a consultant with a major government contractor

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
