Job Description:  SUMMARY:
As an overnight Produce team member you will work together with other Team Members to assure that all objectives and goals of the department and store, as communicated by the Team Leader/Store Leadership, are met or exceeded. You will provide excellent guest service while serving and selling the highest quality foods, and abiding by the strictest standards of physical and food safety, freshness and sanitation.
DUTIES:
  • Satisfy and delight customers by providing excellent customer service
  • Prep ingredients and products for Produce cases
  • Ensure a fresh and appealing case by checking codes, rotating products, and removing old, damaged, or out-of-date products
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked and well-merchandised department including accurate pricing and signage, in support of Regional and National sales promotions
  • Maintain department supplies to appropriate levels
  • Maintain back stock areas and coolers
  • Properly document product transfers, sampled product, waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
  • Assist other departments as necessary to facilitate customer service
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to embrace change and work well within a diverse team

  • Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

  • Knowledge of, and the ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to learn and safely use/operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Understanding of locations safety procedures and policies and ability to follow them
  • Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
  • Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
  • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
