Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or demonstrated equivalent.
• Minimum five years of combined professional accounting, finance, and industry experience with significant interaction and understanding of accounting and finance.
• Experience with Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Smart View, Hyperion Enterprise, or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
• Highly motivated, energetic team player with the capability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks with limited or minimal supervision
• Excellent written and oral communication as well as analytical skills
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with senior management as well as a multi-disciplined cross section of a large corporate organization
• Key contributor, self-driven, energetic, and motivated team player with the capability to effectively work on multiple projects/tasks
• Demonstrated aptitude to prepare, interpret, and present financial information to senior management
• Ability to explain accounting and finance concepts to non-financial personnel
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to work with operations and senior management.

Job Description:

The Assistant Controller Group of URS' Infrastructure & Environment business is actively seeking an innovative, talented Senior Financial Analyst for immediate employment in the San Francisco office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an impressive skill set applicable to (a) management reporting, and (b) the planning, budgeting and forecasting process of a global organization.
Responsibilities:
• Prepares and generates management reporting, including monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
• Analyzes quarterly internal management reporting packages, including actual to budget and year over year variances.
• Supports planning and budgeting process with designated projects including reporting and analyses.
• Assists lead Hyperion administrator in maintenance and generation of forms, reports, calc scripts, and other maintenance.
• Develops and provides user support for Hyperion based analytical tools and models.
• Under limited supervision, develops, interprets, and implements complex financial/accounting concepts and advanced techniques for financial planning and management reporting.
• Identifies opportunities to optimize existing processes and develops process improvements to address operational budgeting / financial reporting issues.
• Conducts and supports ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as requested by senior management.
