Job Description:  Role Summary:

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting new vacancy in our International Financial Shared Setvices Team in Littlehampton. Working in a diverse team with lots of room for progression, the key responsiblities for this position are to manage the integrity of the Regional bank clearing and Point of Sale related General Ledger accounts.

Primary Accountabilities:


  • Oversee the reconciliation of financial transactions for market stores by tender type (cash, credit cards etc) in order to analyse Market Discrepancy Accounts

  • Responsible for reviewing and approving discrepancy reports and tolerance write offs prepared by the Cash Control Administrator

  • Lead and monitor the accuracy of EPOS Pipe data and work closely with International IT to develop process improvements

  • Provide Profit Protection with analysis of Discrepancies, highlighting store non-compliance and "skimming" in store

  • Liaise with Tax Department to recover VAT relating to Chargebacks, Thefts, Forged Currency and Foreign Currency

  • Ensure monthly GL account Ageing Report reviews are performed and target initiatives identified and monitored

  • Deputise for the Financial Shared Services (FSS) Control Team Leader as and when required

  • Responsible for coaching an mentoring team members

  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to secure and identify opportunities for FSS project work to increase best practice within the FSS team

  • Liaise with internal and external customers on query resolution, as required

  • Work with key stakeholders to secure excellent communication and a professional standard of service

  • Work with direct reports towards successful achievement of monthly team targets and KPIs

  • Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimising the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace and responsible for reporting potential risks, real accidents and near misses to relevant managers

  • Champions, supports and participates in The Body Shop's Values and Campaigns

  • To perform other related duties as assigned or requested


Experience:


  • Proven experience of Retail POS and/or banking

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007. Advanced level excel essential

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar systems

  • Experience of negotiating with key stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of writing procedures and processes

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Ability to resolve problems with a resilient disposition

  • Sound communication and negotiation skills

  • Previous line management experience desirable

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
