Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: BS Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Physics, or Mathematics and a minimum of 5-7 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Candidates with some college coursework and equivalent military training / work experience with Electronic Warfare systems may also be considered.

Engineering experience within the Electronic Warfare (EW) field is highly desired; candidates with experience in the following fields may also be considered: EMC, EMI, Radar, Communications, EM field measurements, E3 testing.

Special Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills; knowledge of microwave receivers, antennas, communication links/systems, NAVY SATCOM, radar principals, RF components, digital signal processing (DSP), and/or electronic warfare (EW) techniques; working knowledge of microwave test equipment and familiarity with computational EMC analysis.

Knowledge of how to use microwave test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers. Ability to plan, schedule, and lead shipboard EMI testing. Ability to interface with armed forces customers. Knowledge of systems engineering, DOD 5000 acquisition guidelines and MIL-STD-461/464. Ability to complete computational EMC analyses. Knowledge of microwave receivers, communication links/systems, radar principals, RF components, digital signal processing (DSP), and/or electronic warfare (EW) techniques. Ability to make sound engineering decisions and recommend sound programmatic advice.

Ability to analyze and model atmospheric propagation of RF signals -Knowledge of advanced antenna technologies including phased arrays -Familiarization with photonics and associated components -Familiarization with modeling/simulation in Matlab or Simullink -Optional experience with current US Navy Electronic Warfare Systems or Electronic Intelligence Systems

Positon will require travel up to 10%.

Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance; current clearance preferred.


Job Description:

URS is seeking an E3 Engineer to perform a variety of engineering functions to include attending electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) meetings, prepare trip reports, review technical documentation, develop detailed E3 test plans, participate in test planning meetings and test readiness reviews. Perform E3 testing, gather, reduce, and analyze resulting data, and prepare and publish detailed test reports.

Plan, schedule, and lead shipboard EMI testing, make sound engineering decisions, and recommend sound programmatic advice. Developing requirements and tactics for future EW systems and doctrine -Ensuring compliance to legal, technical, and tactical requirements -Managing and reporting spectral risks and threats
