Job Description:  Based in our International IT function in our Head Office in Littlehampton, this busy role sits within a fast-paced infrastructure team, with an interesting mix of technologies. We're looking for candidates with sound 2nd line support experience, who can provide excellent customer focused IT support to Group employees across the UK-EMEA desktop estate.

Role Definitions

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Provide support for Desktop systems & technologies (including MAC systems) to office-based and remote users in UK-EMEA to ensure consistency and quality with the handling, recording and tracking of all customer issues, requests and enquiries

• Support business use of Video Conferencing equipment and other International Infrastructure teams with server, networks, operations (e.g. daily change of server backup tapes) and or telephony assistance, as required

• Maintain documentation for processes and procedures for operational UK-EMEA use and collaborate with Desktop teams in other Zones to share best practices, expertise, solutions and operating processes, where applicable

• Resolve all Desktop (including MAC) issues and either bring them to conclusion or escalate them, as appropriate, to the relevant supplier

• Maintain effective woking relationships across all peer International and Zone IT teams

• Take Help Desk calls from business users, as required, and provide support activities to minimise business disruption

Other:


• International travel across relevant markets to support business and project activities, as required

• Adhere to the end-to-end IT processes when setting up new Desktops or upgrading or removing existing systems

• Provide out of hours 2nd line 'on call' support for ffices and remote users

• Work with the International IT Infrastructure teams and provide support activities as required

• Complete tasks as assigned by the UK-EMEA Desktop Supervisor

• Commercially control spend within your specific remit, working creatively and in a SMART way to reduce both overall costs whilst increasing efficiency

• Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimising the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace and responsible for reporting potential risks, real accidents and near misses to relevant managers

• Champions, supports and participates in The Body Shop's Values and Campaigns

Personal requirements for role
Experience:


• Extensive experience of Desktop systems, including Windows XP, Windows7, and Symantec Anti-Virus.

• Woking knowledge of Microsoft SCCM (or SMS) including software deployments and build creation.

• Good understanding of Apple Mac technolgoies.

• Ability to maintain and diagnose issues with PC technologies, peripherals, applications and networks with minimum supervision

• Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications

• Demonstrable experience of mobile telephony technologies such as BES, Blackberry, Smartphones and iPhones

• Demonstrable experience of providing high profile VIP support

• Sound understanding of Hardware break\fix

• Good understanding of Active Directory and Group policies

• Good knowledge of an Incident Management system

• Sound understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management

• Demonstrable experience of managing vendors and third party service providers

Qualifications:


• MCDST or MCSE qualification ideal
