Minimum Requirements: • Bachelors Degree in Engineering • Minimum two years' experience using and managing data in environmental information management systems • Minimum one year experience with environmental sampling, interaction with analytical laboratories, or industrial hygiene-related activities • Experience with MS Access relational database, VBA, forms and report development tools • Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle or other enterpriswe relational database management systems including creation of SQL scripts and queries • Programming and application development experience in .NET, C# or other comparable platform • Strong oral and written communications skills • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: The successful candidate will work closely with the senior level information management staff including developers, data managers and GIS analysts to support application configuration, development, reporting, documentation, and maintenance. The candidate will report to the Information Management lead, and under his direction work with other business lines to develop automation tools, processes and otherwise provide support for their project data management needs. Project work may include, but is not limited to, the following: • Development of MS Access databases, forms and customized, highly formatted database reports. • Development of SQL queries and scripts for data exports and imports. • Perform data entry, cleanup, re-purposing, etc. through combinations of manual, semi-automated and automated procedures. • Perform various application programming tasks including web development using .NET and C#. • Prepare tables, charts, and perform data analysis including statistical calculations. • Assist in the preparation of system specifications, procedures and other systems documentation. • Periodic support to other business lines in the areas of environmental sampling, industrial hygiene support, or analytical laboratory interaction.
