Director Business Development, Energy & Chemicals, Spartanburg, SC The challenge? Helping ensure an environmentally sustainable supply of oil and gas to meet our planet's energy demands. Our Director Business Development career path manages overall business development for CH2M HILL's Energy & Chemicals Spartanburg office. Each day you will work in a collaborative, cross functional team environment to build the Energy & Chemicals group and bring the resources and skills of a world leader in program management, project delivery, environmental stewardship, and health and safety to our Spartanburg Region Energy & Chemicals clients. You should be a self motivated senior business development professional who can identify sound business opportunities and develop the strategies, tactics and teams needed to bring them to fruition and have a desire to grow personally and professionally with each energy or chemicals project.
Our Director of Business Development Spartanburg Region: - Serves as a key member of the management team that sets the company's strategic direction.
- Spearheads regional business development initiatives that are consistent with CH2M HILL's overall strategy.
- Manages multiple business initiatives across the Energy and Chemicals industry.
- Generates revenue and develops strategic partnerships and management.
- Builds and manages a business development team.
- Manages complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required.
- Is the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the sales and business development group. Through personal example, establishes the style and approach which will characterize the CH2M HILL's dealings with the marketplace.
- Manages selected global Energy & Chemical company accounts.
- Forms peer-level relationships with top management in client companies.
- Provides business value selling at the top levels of client companies.
- Combines leadership & teamwork to help local sales force capture business opportunities in selected Energy & Chemicals accounts.
- Operates independently within established corporate and business group guidelines.
- Coordinates where required with the global energy and chemical community and ensures the effective coordination and completion of all tenders and proposals.
- Coordinates and leverages relationships internally to develop multi-discipline engineering work across CH2M HILL
Additional Information: CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc) to fill this position. Basic Qualifications - A minimum of fifteen years experience in the engineering, procurement, construction, and/or operations and maintenance arena serving the oil and gas and/or related process industries
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
- In-depth understanding of the energy and chemicals industry and the companies operating in this sector
- Existing relationships in the Spartanburg region energy and chemicals companies that can be leveraged into new business
- Preferred Qualifications
- An MBA is preferred.
- Experience in design, construction, project management and/or operations of complex process facilities are preferred.
