Accounting Administrator Careers - Houston, Texas

The challenge? Help our Facilities Services team deliver safe, reliable, high-quality facilities engineering, operations, and maintenance programs that focus on enhancing the life-cycle and performance output of our clients' assets. Our Accounting Administrator jobs provide you with an opportunity to develop and manage key client relationships while you support accounting, HR, and general administrative functions in an industrial manufacturing facility operations and maintenance program. Each day, you will help drive the success of our program by performing a variety of responsibilities including billing, budget tracking, reporting, data analysis, and report/chart generation. You should be a self motivated professional with 5 or more years experience in business administration support, including a minimum 3 years accounting experience, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Accounting Administrator job.

Our Accounting Administrators:

  • Work closely with the program's Business Manager on all special projects and all business related activities.
  • Interact with subcontractors, client, and corporate accounting personnel.
  • Provide uploads to clients; verification of accurate billing rates, markups, and cost codes; review and processing of all invoices; matching of batch totals; distribution of invoices; reconciliations; follow up on billing/payment issues.
  • Provide analysis and report preparation, budget vs. actual performance preparation, data development, preparation and presentation of program metrics for assigned projects.
  • Are computer savvy, demonstrating solid knowledge of the MS Office Suite, financial applications and project-related software. An expert level knowledge of Excel is critical.
  • Succeed in supporting multiple projects at any given time.
  • Successfully develop and manage solid client relationships.
  • Are flexible and able to deal well with change in a sometimes stressful environment. Are also very detailed oriented and organized, self starter, work well without supervision and have very good judgment, patience, and creativity.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years business administration/support, including 3 years accounting experience
  • Associate's degree in business related field, or additional 2 years experience in lieu of degree

    3 years of experience with MS Office Suite
