Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering or scientific field; or equivalent experience. Job Description: URS is seeking a System Safety Engineer to provide technical expertise for System Safety Engineering support to Combat System Safety Programs including but not limited to Aegis, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD). Work with multiple engineers to complete combat system-level, MIL-STD-882-based safety analyses. Develop safety documentation and presentation materials for safety review board meetings. Complete additional tasking associated with the conduct of the safety program, as necessary, which may include research, evaluation of known safety problems, evaluation of requirements, review of test documentation, etc. At least 7 years of experience in professional capacity and/or US Navy fleet experience. Aegis system level domain experience, including fleet combat information center operations is preferable; but not necessary. Demonstrated ability to lead and/or interact with a technical team. Demonstrated ability to plan, communicate, and execute. EOE M/F/D/V |
