We are looking to hire an Ecommerce Marketing Director to be based in the New York area.

In this role you will provide strategic leadership for both the short term and long term needs of the ecommerce business. The Ecommerce Marketing Director will oversee day-to-day execution of the ecommerce acquisition marketing activities, including a robust affiliate marketing relationship, SEM, display advertising, SEO, etc. S/He will collaborate with colleagues in planning, merchandising, finance and stores to help achieve the Company's financial objectives. S/He must be a hands-on, pragmatic leader, capable of delivering results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The Ecommerce Marketing Director will also be responsible for creating the long term strategy for new customer acquisition in terms of sustainable growth, optimal channel mix, budget planning and ROI models.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute strategy to drive rapid, profitable growth in the e-commerce channel, while achieving sales forecast and P&L objectives (web and mobile sites)

  • Responsible for customer acquisition from strategy, detailed planning through execution within budget and ROI analysis, maximizing traffic, demand and customer conversion

  • Manage existing affiliate network, SEM, banner and mobile marketing channels and relationships

  • Manage digital agencies to maximize success. Must be able to lead and build relationships, and meet performance and cost objectives.

  • Continual evaluate current partners, new partners and new innovations that will optimize performance and budget

  • Successfully collaborate with internal teams to ensure Ecommerce success; finance, commercial, marketing, CRM, customer care and distribution center

  • Responsible for achieving overall Ecommerce forecast, integral part of Ecommerce commercial planning process (short term plans and long term)

  • Closely liaise with store teams to ensure Ecommerce commercial plan is cohesive with in-store plans

  • Responsible for all reporting and analytics on marketing channel, additionally collaborate with Ecommerce Analyst on all analytics, and provide monthly, quarterly and yearly insights to continue to improve performance across all business drivers

  • Manage all marketing vendor relationships, budgeting and overseeing PO/Invoicing process

  • Create collaborative web to store promotions that sustainably support both channels (and explore potential store to web strategies)

  • Responsible for long term strategies and annual planning for customer acquisition, recommending investment levels, ROI forecasting, etc.





Leadership Responsibilities:


  • Overseeing and directing personnel responsible for E-Commerce Marketing, digital marketing assets design and creation, experience enhancements as it relates to campaign cohesiveness and a great experience for new customers, campaign execution, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, and data feeds, affiliate relationships and web analytics

  • Manage and motive team of two direct reports plus provide leadership and mentorship to entire Ecommerce team

  • Balance team workloads to optimize effectiveness and efficiencies

  • Overseeing hiring process for potential new personnel on the E-commerce marketing team as needed

  • Negotiating and managing external agency relationships and freelance staff for marketing scope of responsibility




Qualifications


  • 8-10 years of experience with top rated e-tailer or multi-channel merchant, beauty industry a plus

  • 5+ years of experience focused on E-Commerce Marketing (specifically acquisition based)

  • Established network of business and vendor relationships in E-Commerce space
