CH2M HILL Facilities Planner Jobs - Houston, TX The challenge? Our Facilities Planner jobs provide you with an opportunity to develop and manage key client relationships while you coordinate and influence cross-functional resources to increase operational efficiency through timely planning, scheduling and execution of planned and unplanned maintenance and project activities. This may include labor, contractor, materials and tools resource allocation and balancing, and the coordination and influencing of all levels of leadership within the operations and maintenance organization. Each day, you will help drive the success of our projects by maximizing efficient use of available resources through prioritization, coordination and scheduling of maintenance and project activities. You should be a self motivated professional with 3-5 years experience in facilities maintenance scheduling and planning, including an understanding of skilled crafts, a solid knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Facilities Services Planner job.
Our Facilities Operations and Maintenance Planners:
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the maintenance support function.
- Provide direction and assistance to personnel and interface with all departments served.
- Schedule, monitor and assess work performance in all facility maintenance trades and services.
- Have administrative, computer, communication and demonstrated leadership skills.\
- Are knowledgable in CMMS Programs, preferably Planon.
- Are responsible for asset tracking via the CMMS, entering additions, changes and deletions into CMMS.
- Identify appropriate PM requirements and maintain CMMS with up to date tasks and frequency data.
- Have a basic understanding of proper OSHA safety practices and procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, solid technical writing ability, strong communications skills, ability to read and understand blueprints and/or schematic diagrams, and have a basic understanding of skilled crafts such as HVAC, carpentry, electricity and electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing and pipe fitting, steam systems etc.
- Estimate material and resources in facility related maintenance.
- Coordinate appropriate resource planning and scheduling including required labor, subcontractors, materials and tools to support maintenance and project activities.
- Manage back-log by priority, craft, and criticality; forecast back-log to determine resource requirements and make recommendations to leadership on allocation of resources.
- Create and present key reports and metrics to monitor operational efficiency and productivity.
- Build customer relationships and periodically reviews work performance.
- Coordinate communications with customers.
- Organize material requirements and delivery with operational schedule.
- Prioritize work requirements and assures appropriate response.
- Assist with long range planning and project development activities.
- Evaluate equipment maintenance history and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Stock items in an orderly and accessible manner in supply rooms, or other areas.
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to technicians, based on information from incoming requisitions and work orders.
- Purchase new or additional stock, or prepare documents that provide for such purchases.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
- Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use. Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.
Compile, review, and maintain data from work orders, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents in order to assess supply needs. Basic Qualifications - 5 years experience facilities maintenance/scheduling in an industrial setting, with knowledge of electrical and mechanical building systems/equipment, and the ability to interface with client, technicians, and outside vendors
- 3 years experience utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
- HS Diploma or GED
