Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, construction, business or related field and at least 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain effective cost control programs.

Experience with government contracts, FAR requirements, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project software desired. Earned Value Management (EVM) skills preferred.

Experience in research and preparing Finding of Facts for all contract Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REA) and claims to the customer strongly desired.

May require detailed cost estimating experience such as unit price, parametric or assemblies estimating for internal design packages.

This position will last approximately 24 months.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations of contractor cost proposals.
- Support change order negotiations.
- Provide baseline schedule analyses.
- Provide schedule analyses and progress payment reviews for contractor submittals.
- Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain effective cost control programs.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawing/specification, applicable building codes related to assigned projects.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.


Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Most positions involve work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Some positions involve work in environments (e.g., shipboard, labs, outside locations, etc.) where mechanical equipment, weapons, etc. are being installed, tested, analyzed/monitored, operated, and/or maintained. Equipment may be loud and noisy or have exposed moving components. Such positions may involve routine lifting up to 50 pounds, regular handling, grasping, kneeling and carrying, and constant use of vision and mental alertness is required.
