AECOM is hiring a Construction Administrator to work in our Chicago, Illinois office. The selected candidate will perform all duties of on-site construction materials quality assurance inspection for roadway and bridge construction projects, manage scheduling of materials testing technicians meeting Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) sampling and testing frequency, prepare and facilitate the submittal of materials inspection documentation with working knowledge of Illinois road and bridge construction standards, demonstrate well developed verbal and written communication skills, and ability to perform these duties on days, nights and weekends. Physical demands include daily outdoor, summer and winter conditions, construction site observations by walking or standing for up to 6 hours per shift; ability to kneel, squat, stoop or bend and reach from floor level to overhead to perform documentation tasks; climb ladders, stairs and steep slopes; access elevated locations such as scaffolds and platforms; licensed to drive. The preferred candidate will have a B.S. in Engineering, 5 years of on-site construction observation experience, working knowledge of Illinois road and bridge construction standards, holds current certifications of IDOT QC/QA Quality Control Manager of materials for Aggregates, Asphalt and Portland Cement Concrete.
