Job Description:

Lead the cultural resource management work group, while providing cultural resource management services for KLJ projects in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner.

Essential Functions

Project manager on designated projects
Provide quality control by reviewing work completed by Archaeologist I to ensure compliance with KLJ quality standards
Supervise the collection of field data
Plans, organizes, coordinates, prioritizes, assigns and monitors the work of field crews
Provide written and oral communication
Perform and interpret lab analysis of artifacts
Coordinate with Federal and State Agencies
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to operate motorized vehicles

Responsibilities

Conduct pedestrian inventory and site testing
Assist with schedules, reports and permits
Maintain project correspondence, records, field notes and reports
Coordinate Class I file search inventories
Perform Class II reconnaissance inventories and Class III intensive inventories
Completion and submittal of site forms
Participate and facilitate in meetings with stakeholders and clients

Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelors degree in anthropology or archaeology and 5-10 years of experience is required.

Preferences:

GIS background is preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite are highly desired.
