URS San Diego is actively seeking a dynamic, highly talented Pacific Sub Region Marketing Manager to lead proposal and business development teams in San Diego, Las Vegas, Hawaii and Construction Services.
Candidate must have a complete understanding of the project pursuit process. Strong writing, editing and organizational skills are required. Must have experience managing complex multi-discipline proposal teams including senior and junior level technical and support personnel, clients, and sub-consultants. Candidate will be a key participant in the strategic planning process that includes identifying and pursuing clients/ projects and developing win strategies. Will meet with potential clients, as well as build relationships with new and existing clients. They will also attend and help organize professional organization events and manage URS participation at professional society or other marketing events. Will oversee, manage and grow marketing department staff, as well as marketing coordination efforts. In addition, the candidate will have advanced word processing skills, excellent editing skills, work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat, InDesign and Vision Deltek. Candidate will be responsible for all upkeep of marketing collateral, resumes, project descriptions and files.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
• Manage federal, public sector or private industry proposals;
• Prepare and develop win strategies for pursuits, proposals and SOQs;
• Develop and produce client presentations;
• Lead rehearsals for presentation teams;
• Manage proposal process - including meeting all deadlines, coordinating document editing, conducting quality assurance/quality control, production planning and scheduling, working with graphic illustrator for designing covers, presentations, brochures and related marketing materials and collateral.
• Manage internal marketing efforts including new employee announcements, new "Win" announcements, and office newsletters.
• Lead media relations while coordinating with corporate PR Group to develop press releases and articles for publication.
• Manage marketing budget for internal and external marketing support functions
