The challenge? Help provide scalable support services designed to enhance productivity while reducing facilities management costs. Our Maintenance Planner jobs provide you with an opportunity to provide professional planning and scheduling to ensure the execution of maintenance and repair tasks for all production and support areas with minimal impact on production activities at our client's facility. Each day, you will be an integral part of our facilities operations and maintenance team as you take responsibility for all aspects of planning, estimating, and scheduling of maintenance work to be performed by the group's technicians, as well as coordinating the efforts of outside contractors in accomplishing all assigned tasks. You should be a self motivated professional with 5 years experience planning and scheduling facilities maintenance tasks, solid knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire), excellent computer skills, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Facilities Maintenance Planning job.

Our Maintenance Planner:

  • Coordinates appropriate resource planning and scheduling including required labor, subcontractors, materials and tools to support maintenance and project activities.

    Review the work to be performed and determine the best way to accomplish the work. They will consult with Leads and Supervisors.

    Identifies and secures all parts and material required to complete the work by providing stores a Bill of Material for the work order and any special kitting instructions.

    Responsible for the preparation of daily work schedules for multiple supervisors and technicians.

    Manage and maintain the workflow process including work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing.

    Develop detailed job plans including all labor, materials, tools, safety precautions and requirements, and work procedures for repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance for the facility and all types of equipment. For all corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance activities ensure proper task assignments and correct balancing of available assets to complete workloads that are scheduled. Scheduling shall be done according to the client's needs and to meet production priorities.

    Review and report on completed preventative and predictive work requests to determine if time standards and job estimates are being met. Analyze and interpret maintenance trends and variances in order to prepare reports and to evaluate the effectiveness of the scheduling initiatives. Make modifications to the scheduling as necessary to achieve maximum use of resources including balancing priorities, manpower, material, and equipment availability.

    Continuously improves the job estimate, planning and scheduling by receiving feedback from maintenance supervisors and maintenance leads.

    Creates and presents key reports and metrics to monitor operational efficiency and productivity

    Other duties may be assigned in keeping with the level of responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years experience facilities maintenance/scheduling in an industrial setting
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Strong applied knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and basic general maintenance
