We are seeking an experienced California Environmental Quality Act/National Environmental Policy Act CEQA/NEPA professional to help manage planning and environmental projects. The senior environmental project manager will be responsible for client engagement and project management of medium to large environmental projects. We have been very successful in securing work in the water, energy, transportation, and development markets, as represented byn our numerous on-call, multi-year contracts with the California Department of Water Resources, CalTrans, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Southern California Edison, and others. The senior environmental project manager would manage projects across a wide spectrum of service areas depending on their own experience and desires. This position would also involve business development in the candidate's areas of strength, working as part of our successful team to anticipate and win future contracts. Our Sacramento office is known for innovation, high-quality work, attentive client service, and a collegial office culture that fosters the highest degree of teamwork. We are seeking an individual that can supervise and mentor junior staff, lead staff in developing client products, engage proactively with our clients, and partner with our other senior staff to grow our markets. Requirements: 10+ years of experience, including project management, CEQA/NEPA experience, business development, and strong interpersonal skills. A record of successful environmental planning projects and effective working relationships with clients and regulatory agencies is also required. Project opportunities are almost exclusively in northern California, the Sierra Nevada, and the Central Valley, but may include work elsewhere in California, the U.S., or possibly international locations if desired.
