Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT Systems Management or related field plus 7-12 years of related experience. Requires design/architect level expertise with the design, configuration, administration, tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting of NetApp storage frames. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge configuring NetApp storage for use in large VMware environments including the presentation of RAW storage.
Specific skills and experience required:
• NetApp certification is required .
• 5 years of NetApp Storage experience is required.
• 2 years of Cisco MDS switch or comparable fiber switch experience is required.
• Must have experience using NetApp for Storage, VMotion and Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• 2 years of EMC Storage and NetApp SNAP configuration /backup experience is strongly desired.
Must possess expertise in troubleshooting storage issues, trending usage and capacity planning - experience with NetApp Operations Manager is desired as is experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager; experience with Veritas Volume Manager preferred.
Demonstrated ability to support Storage Area Networks (SAN) to included arrays such as: EMC and NetApp; configure storage in Windows and Linux operating systems; SAN management experience with Sun
Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience configuring and supporting SNAP backups on NetApp; VMotion and SRM on NetApp; Cisco MDS (or similar) fiber switches.
Ability to complete server side SAN administration to include HBA (Emulex) configuration, Experience with rollout/implementation of SAN/NAS.
Requires command-line interface and scripting knowledge on industry-leading storage devices as well as experience with storage trend reporting.
Ability to research and articulate recommended solutions and technology; design, develop and document technical solutions; document procedures and change management documentation; experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
The successful candidate should be detail oriented and must be able to think independently; exhibit a high level of initiative and self-confidence along with strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate excellent time management skills.
