This position is responsible for the efficient operation of the following activities: Keeps the accounting records organized and available for users; Keeps inventory of the files at the warehouse and storage; Assists the team in finance and accounting activities; Attends to Banks, Servicio de Impuestos Internos (local IRS), Municipalities and other entities to perform routine activities; Reconciles reports and financial data with other records on file. Points out apparent inconsistencies and errors; Prepares or reviews routine summary reports, financial statements, or tax returns; Maintains assigned segment of financial, accounting, timekeeping, or tax records; Examines a variety of recording and reporting documents and summaries to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, corporate, contract, government or professional accounting requirements; Carries out assigned steps in accounting, systems, or financial analysis; Assists higher level accounting teams; Adhere to due dates at all times for reports and task completion; Give early warnings of problem due date difficulties; The Accounting Analyst shall also ensure that he/she leads by example, promotes teamwork at every occasion, respects others opinions, openly contributes at meetings, does not accept status quo, and upholds fair and ethical behavior with customers in compliance with Bechtel business ethics code. Basic Qualifications : Must have legal right to work in Chile without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications : Intermediate skills in the areas of oral and written communications (English/Spanish), project financial process controls, MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel), accounts payable, general ledger and billing Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, procurement, and construction companies in the world.
