The challenge? Help save and protect the one and only Earth we have. Our Staff Environmental Professional jobs are your opportunity to help restore environmentally impaired sites for economic use. Each day, you will support site characterization / remediation projects, including hydrogeologic data collection and interpretation; remedial investigations; feasibility study analysis; and design, construction, and operation of soil and groundwater remediation systems. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual with a BS in Engineering, Environmental Science and successful 0-3 year track record in environmental consulting, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental job.

Our Staff Environmental Professionals:
  • Support tasks for small to medium projects and/or assist senior project managers on large, complex projects
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for engineering analysis
  • Support commercial and federal clients to meet project goals and objectives
  • Work as a member of a project team to prepare technical reports for clients, state agencies, or other stakeholders and interface with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with client personnel
  • Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety in all work
  • Work as part of field team conducting site investigations (i.e., drilling, sampling and routine testing) Work with and assist with the procurement and management of subcontractors
  • Complete tasks within schedule and budget with teams comprised of different disciplines
  • Possess strong writing, communication, and leadership skills Have a strong work ethic
  • Exhibit integrity and the highest quality is all activities
  • Work collaboratively and effectively in teams
  • As applicable, preferably possess an Engineering In Training (EIT) certificate or other applicable certification with an expectation of obtaining a PE or PG license
Additional information: CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (H1B, etc.) to fill this position.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS (degree completed at time of application) civil, environmental, chemical, or geotechnical engineering
  • 0-3 years environmental field experience, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling experience Knowledge and, preferably, experience with various environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil gas, and surface water) investigations, contaminant fate and transfer, assessments and remediation technologies.
  • Must be able to perform field work and obtain/maintain 40-hr HAZWOPER certification
  • Ability to demonstrate willingness and aptitude to perform field work in varying weather conditions
