Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Environmental, Industrial Hygiene or related field.

Three years experience in a technician position.

Must hold current OSHA Hazwoper Certificate.

Experience with Phase I ESA's, soil and groundwater sampling, USTs, soil boring installation and monitoring well installation, asbestos sampling and indoor air monitoring.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000).

Effective time-management and analytical skills. Articulate with a professional presence with solid decision making and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Valid Driver's License.

Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.


Job Description:

This position will work as part of the Environmental practice in the North East and will support Project Managers on a variety of environmental projects. The office consists of approximately 25 team members, ranging in experience from two to more than thirty years.

Provide support for asbestos abatement projects by overseeing abatement activities and other environmental field work, including groundwater monitoring, drilling oversight and Phase I ESAs.

Tasks will include activities focused on site specific projects and other environmental projects including Phase I,II,III ESA's.

Interact with URS staff, clients and regulatory agencies. Interact with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within URS.
