Job Description:  Temporary Recruiter


We are currently seeking a Temporary Recruiter (3 - 6 month contract) to join our Talent Acquisition Team. The responsibilities will include, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate management, negotiating offers, and closing positions. The Recruiter will support the Talent Strategy for the Calgary market.


In order to be successful in this role the ideal candidate will need to be an effective communicator, be able to work in a fast pace environment, build strong relationships with hiring managers, be open to change, and work with a sense of urgency. This role will report to the National Recruiter - Canada.

Primary Responsibilities of this role include:


  • Lead the creation of a recruitment plan for each open position

  • Utilize various online sourcing techniques to locate top talent

  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates

  • Manage the interview process following the established process and procedures

  • Conduct regular follow-up meetings with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation

  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees

  • Maintain regular contact with future candidates to develop and maintain a pipeline

  • Assist in the management of external recruitment partners to identify, select and mange on-going relationships that support the business objectives

  • Assist in establishing a recognizable "employer of choice" reputation for the company, both internally and externally.

  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.

  • Participate in job fairs, cold calling, foot sourcing, and other local avenues for obtaining quality candidates


Qualifications:


  • 3 years of high-volume full life-cycle retail recruitment experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Solid negotiation and persuasion skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices

  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Database Management)

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
