CH2M HILL Construction Manager Jobs - Montgomery, AL The Challenge? Help provide and sustain clean water resources around the world. Our Construction Manager jobs provide you with an opportunity to work on exciting and large-scale water/wastewater treatment projects. Each day, your skills will help deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations as you will ensure that projects meet objectives by carefully planning, staffing, and scheduling, as well as performing budget management, quality control and safety protocols. You should be a self-motivated professional with a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management and a proven and successful 15 year track record working as a Construction Manager along with a desire to grow both personally as well as professionally with each construction management job opportunity. You must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama.
Our Construction Managers: • Regularly meet and coordinate with client team and other contractors. • Are responsible for Construction planning, staffing, organization and execution plans. • Coordinate with design and procurement teams. Support value engineering during design. • Provide construction input on materials and methods to design teams. • Coordinate and lead construction bidding and subcontractor selection. • Coordinate and implement project safety plans and procedures. • Implement of project controls systems and procedures for management of cost, schedule and performance. • Develop and manage construction schedules. • Manage labor and material resources on-site. • Oversee regular subcontractor coordination meetings and task planning. • Are responsible for Loss prevention and change management. • Prepare and present project status reports. • Coordinate and manage system start-up and running operations. • Are responsible for Project and contract close-out.
Additional Information: This is an office position not a field position, however some travel to the construction site may be required. CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc) to fill this position. Basic Qualifications BS in Engineering or Construction Management 15 years of experience as a Construction Manager Water, Sewer and treatment plant experience is required Program management level experience Previous construction experience on utility infrastructures Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with special emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction materials and methods for water and sewer mains and related utility systems. Effective at tracking costs and schedules. Ability to coordinate and manage multiple activities/subcontractors on site. Ability to identify and adjudicate changes in scope or other projects conditions. Strong negotiation skills.
