Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in aviation planning, urban planning, architecture, transportation, civil engineering, public policy, or related area of study
• American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) or Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the field of transportation planning, including project management responsibilities
• Experience working with public sector clients in the field of transportation planning. Representative clients include metropolitan planning organizations, state departments of transportation, tolling authorities, transit agencies, municipal and county governments
• Proven record of successfully marketing, performing, and completing work in the role of Project Manager for public sector transportation planning agencies
• Must complete URS PM Certification courses within six months of hire date
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position may be required to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test


Job Description:

The Surface Transportation Planning Group of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Transportation Planner for immediate employment in the Tampa, Florida office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Transportation Planning, specifically serving the needs of public sector clients. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including long range and corridor-related transportation planning studies.

Incumbent Responsibilities:
• Manage projects and provide direction to the project team in successfully delivering quality products to our clients
• Client satisfaction, maintenance, and marketing
• Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills
