Role Overview
Acts to support the Project Traffic & Logistics Lead. Performs (T&L) responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- Coordinates shipments with requisite internal and external entities to ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials and equipment from supplier's delivery point to T&L service provider's facilities or to Bechtel jobsite.
- Ensures timely entry of shipment milestone data into Bechtel Procurement System (BPS) to provide visibility of line item shipment status.
- Assists in preparation of T&L milestone reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements.
- Ensures timely processing of T&L service provider invoices in accordance with project procedures, T&L service provider agreements, and corporate payment procedures.
- Assists in identifying transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of T&L service providers.
- Assists the project T&L lead as requested.
- Assists with filing and resolution of T&L service provider claims.
- Assists with preparation of T&L service provider bid tabs, commitment authorizations and contract documents within the scope of Bechtel policies and procedures.
- Assists with preparation of logistics studies including site and T&L service provider facility visits.
- Integrates safety requirements and measures in all Traffic & Logistics activities.
- Assists with monitoring T&L service provider performance to ensure services are carried out as contracted for and to ensure that project requirements are satisfied.

- Bechtel and Supply Chain instructions, policies, and procedures
- Bechtel Traffic and Logistics procedures (Supply Chain College)
- T&L service provider pricing, services, operations and terms and conditions
- Bechtel T&L corporate agreements
- Bechtel Procurement System (BPS) T&L module as a Traffic & Logistics cost and information management tool
- Bechtel procedures and instructions for compliance with governmental regulations affecting the movement of goods and technology
- Bechtel cargo insurance requirements and their integration into goods purchase orders and Traffic & Logistics service provider agreements
- Industry packing, marking, and shipping requirements and their application to Bechtel purchased equipment
- Formalities and processes for importing and exporting globally
- Trade and delivery terms and export credit agency requirements
- Elements of cost and resource requirements for preparation and management of T&L budgets
- Arranging for movement of over-dimensional, over-weight or hazardous materials/equipment via all modes of transportation
- Project Traffic & Logistics execution plans and procedures
