The Wheatstone LNG Project is a multi-train Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and domestic gas (DomGas) plant near Onslow on the Pilbara Coast. Bechtel is honored to participate in the engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of this LNG plant. The Role The Site QA Supervisor will be responsible for the development, maintenance and verification of implementation of the project quality assurance program/plan for the Wheatstone LNG Project and will be based at the site inOnslow, Australia. The Site QA Supervisor will be required to perform and/or participate in audits or surveillances of Bechtel Field Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities, and of subcontractors, suppliers and sub-suppliers as defined by project and contractual requirements. The Site QA Supervisor will be expected to become familiar with the OG&C and project Quality Management System and assist Site Quality Manager in performing day to day quality related activities. The Site QA Supervisor will be expected to deputize for Site Quality Manager when needed. The Site QA Supervisor will be required to plan and implement work using independent judgment and prior experience in the quality area. Essential duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 1.Perform planned audits and surveillances of execution activities to ensure compliance to Project requirements. 2. Performing audits and surveillances of subcontractors, suppliers and sub-suppliers, as scheduled. 3. Plan and implement work independently, in the preparation, performance and documentation of audits, surveillances and other activities. 4. Monitoring and reporting to the Site Quality Manager on the status of implementation of the Project Quality Management System and its effectiveness. 5. Identifying and recording quality problems and opportunities for improvement, and initiating or recommending solutions. 6. Review and status subcontractor or supplier quality document submittals (Quality Plans, Test & Inspection Plans, procedures), to ensure effective controls are in place in key areas. 7. Interface with management and Client personnel as needed during resolution of quality issues or during Client audits. 8. Work closely with other groups and support timely reviews of documents or issues requiring QA action. 9. Basic Qualifications Candidates for this position should have significant engineering or construction working experience in Quality Assurance in Oil & Gas projects or a similar environment. Multi-discipline experience is desired. Welding, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and/or control systems discipline experience is highly preferred. Module Fabrication/Inspection or Construction/Inspection experience required for module yard and site positions respectively. Previous supervisory/leadership experience is also required. Advanced Quality Assurance/Lead Auditor Skills and experience with ISO 9001 Quality Program Implementation. This role is only approved as single/camp status no accompanied status will be approved.
