The SAP Basis Systems Analyst will work as part of the Information Systems & Technology team and will support the SAP team in responding to challenges at a global scale. The SAP Basis Systems Analyst will work with SAP experts support SAP incidents, upgrades, and applications. There is a world of opportunities for people in IS&T at Bechtel.

The start date is subject to business workload and applicant availability.

General Job Duties
The SAP Basis Systems Analyst will be responsible for:

Responsible for configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the mySAP ERP technical environment on an ongoing basis
Troubleshoot and perform installations of SAPGUI, SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and SAP PI (Process Integrator)
Backup and recovery management
Database monitoring and configuration.
Perform mySAP ERP version upgrades/installations and testing
Defining and administering the mySAP ERP change control process (Correction & Transport System)
Performing mySAP ERP client management (Sandbox, Development, QA and Production)
Application of LCP's and Service Packs on a periodic basis to mySAP ERP environment
Responsible for configuring and maintaining Transport Management System (TMS)

Perform Oracle export/import of database and database copy between systems
Monitor mySAP ERP system logs and facilitate corrective action when required
Access SAP OSS to research support issues, and/or apply OSS patches as required
Must be willing to be part of a 24x7 on call rotation
Monitor, apply service packs and maintain SAP Portal for mySAP ERP and SAP Business Intelligence
Apply patches, use system admin console and troubleshoot SAP portal components.
Apply LCPs and Service Packages to SAP Business Intelligence
Troubleshoot and apply core fixes to SAP PI (Process Integrator)

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from acollege or University, completed no later than Spring 2013 and no more than 12 months prior to Spring 2013
Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship
Knowledge of Linux, Unix, and/or Windows systems administration.
Prior co-op or internship experience
Familiarity with relational database administration, network administration and hardware/software support.

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from a college or University, completed no later than Spring 2013 and no more than 12 months prior to Spring 2013
Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service focus.
Ability to problem solve and work independently to identify solutions.
Familiarity with one or more technology components within SAP.
