CH2M HILL Senior Piping Designer Jobs - Houston, Texas

Our Senior Piping Designer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting, small to large scale Energy & Chemicals projects. Each day you will be an important team leader as you participate in the design, coordination, execution and supervision of the technical aspects of many Energy & Chemicals projects. You should be a self motivated, detail oriented professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience working as a Piping Designer.

Senior Piping Designer:

Work with a project design team for piping including determining work assignments and meeting project deadlines
Participates in design coordination with engineers and other disciplines in the development of complete drawing packages
Coordinates with other disciplines, designers, and engineers
Prepares clear, accurate and complete drawings using practical design knowledge
Develops detailed design elements using information from various sources which may include site studies, vendor drawings, catalog data, engineering sketches, reference drawings and input from other disciplines
Participates in field investigations, produces clear field reports with detailed sketches, written and verbal instructions
Assists in the review of vendor shop drawings and design drawings
Demonstrates good knowledge in interpreting and preparing P&ID's, piping plan and sections, and piping isometric drawings
Demonstrates a working knowledge of selecting and placement of pipe supports, and equipment layout
Ability to check Isometrics using 3D Model software, CADWork and SP3D experience.

SPECIAL NOTE: CH2MHill will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H1B, etc.,) to fill this position.

Basic Qualifications

minimum 20 years piping design experience
minimum 10 years experience utilizing a 3D piping package. .

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years experience as 3D piping designer on projects in oil & gas using CADWorx or SP3D preferred

Degree Required

High School or GED

Preferred Years of Experience

10-20
