Minimum Requirements:
• Candidate must have a High School + 8 years or Bachelor's.
• Candidate must have excellent written and communication skills.
• Two years' experience with and ability to configure and resolve complex issues using PC based systems running Windows XP, Windows 7, SWimage/Encore and related technologies in a geographically dispersed environment.
• Two years' experience following complex procedures with consistent, successful results.
• Two years' experience performing system administration duties on PC systems using Windows XP, Windows 7, SWimage/Encore and related technologies.
• Two years' experience troubleshooting and resolving PC systems using Windows XP, Windows 7, SWimage/Encore and related technology problems.
• Must be able to pass a NACI background check.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or have legal right to work in the USA without sponsorship (Agency check will be required for this position)
Job Description:
URS is looking for a Help Desk Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C.!
The Help Desk Specialist responds and follows-up on internal and external customer support problems; is responsible for receiving and tracking the trouble tickets, assigns them to a technical specialist (could be themselves or someone else) for action and ensures that their tickets are resolved, and closed out with the customer and in the system.
Responsibilities:
• The primary duties of the Helpdesk Specialist include having a wide range of skills and knowledge in computer hardware and software as well as networking systems in use at customer sites.
• Candidate will perform set-up, configuration, use, and trouble shooting of computers.
• Provide advanced technical deployment support for PC and related systems using Windows XP, Windows 7, SWimage/Encore and related technologies in the SEC environment.
