Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

• Associates or Technical Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering
• Minimum 10 years prior work experience working for Structural Engineering Consulting firm performing CADD and Detailing for bridge, tunnel, building, and other transportation structures
• Experience performing structural CADD Design on Bridge & Infrastructure Projects for New York Metropolitan area clients such as NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYSTA, MTA-Bridges & Tunnels, Metro-North, LIRR
• Experience using AutoCAD ADT 2007, 2008, and Microstation Versions 7 & 8. Knowledge of 3D applications using Auto CAD and Microstation Version 8
• Experience managing a group of 5 or more CADD operators
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

URS is the #1 Bridge Design firm per ENR. We have a significant presence in the New York Metropolitan Area. Our Infrastructure Division is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Structural CADD Designer, with excellent communication skills, for immediate employment in the New York City Office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate previous experience in providing Structural CADD services, specific to bridge, retaining wall, and other transportation structures. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The candidate can look forward to working on projects including bridge, tunnel, retaining wall, and building design and rehabilitation projects.

• Interact with Engineers and Project Managers
• Develop complex engineering drawings in Microstation and Autocad as part of a project team
• Setting up projects to match client CADD standards
• Assigns work to drafters and designers
• Monitors work progress
• Assists with problem resolution
• Review other discipline's drawings and CADD files
