Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Current clearance is desired. Job Description: URS is seeking a Project Officer (Senior) to support the daily operations of the Mine Resistant Ambush Protection (MRAP) vehicle program in Stafford, VA.
This position supports an ACAT 1D program currently producing, fielding, upgrading, and sustaining life-saving vehicles for Warfighters and is recognized as the highest priority Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition program, with exceptionally high Congressional, DoD, and joint Service interest which requires motivated, competent and agile individuals to respond to a myriad of urgent and priority requests for information and action.
Provides program management assistance in planning, organizing, staffing, controlling, guiding, facilitating, and assisting in customer projects and programs. Assists the Government managers throughout the defense acquisition life cycle, including development, production, deployment, operations, support and disposal, applying defense acquisition statutory and regulatory policies as well as service directives, instructions, policy, guidebooks, and discretionary acquisition documentation. Essential Responsibilities:
1. Candidate may supervise, coach and lead a team in accomplishing tasks for a specific program and area of expertise. 2. Collaborate daily with customer(s) to determine specific needs and requirements and to counsel within the expert area, including overseeing task execution. 3. Develop and/or review program reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, etc.; provide comments; organize, consolidate, and adjudicate comments from various organizations, and prepare reports. 4. Perform expert-level review, analysis, and validation of engineering and logistics products; prepare executive-level reports and briefs. 5. Consult as industry expert with the logistics managers, program managers and customers, advising on logistics program policy development, planning and implementation. 6. Interface with various technical and logistics team leaders daily to exchange information and coordinate related task performance. 7. Supervise and train junior-level personnel in the technical aspects of assigned work.
