Project Description:
The Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) Project is a coal seam gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) development project on Curtis Island, near Gladstone, Queensland. Gladstone is located approximately 450 kilometers north of Brisbane on the east coast of Australia. Australia Pacific LNG has Australia's largest CSG reserves position and is well placed to enable the creation of a world-class, long-term industry in Queensland, Australia. The Project consists of the development of the LNG plant which will have a processing capacity of up to 9 million tons per annum (Mtpa).

Bechtel is performing the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) on the project. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2016 with a workforce primarily on a camp status, fly-in/fly-out basis. The project will be performed using a Bechtel Direct Hire workforce with select subcontract support.

Role Overview
The Australia Pacific LNG Plant Project is a grass roots, two train facility that will be constructed on Curtis Island (near Gladstone) Australia on a camp status, fly in/fly out basis for non-local personnel. It will be performed on a combination of Direct Hire and Construction Management of experienced specialist Australian Subcontracts methods. Unless otherwise indicated, applicants for construction positions should have heavy industrial Direct Hire experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified below.

Role Overview
The Completions Coordinator:

  • Reports to the Project Field Engineer and Deputy Project Field Engineer;
  • Acts as the Project super user for the Bechtel proprietary TEAMWorks Application;
  • Supports users and provides troubleshooting;
  • Provides TEAMWorks training to all new users and refresher training as required;
  • Is responsible for verifying data integrity during exchanges and verification of complete and accurate transfers of information;
  • Prepares and administers TEAMWorks reports across all database modules;
  • Supports the completion and turnover process for all APLNG Project systems to Mechanical Completion and through to Substantial and Final Completion;
  • Ensure Project documentation is collated, tracked and available for turnover from construction to startup in a timely manner including all required quality records and operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals;
  • Coordinate system walk downs, create walkdown packages, and input and track punchlist items to closure;
  • Prepare weekly reports regarding system turnover and punchlist status.

Job Knowledge:
  • Advanced knowledge of TEAMWorks modules: X-Steel, Work Packages, Completions, Equipment, Piping Tables, Modules, Quantity Reporting, and Welding;
  • Advanced knowledge of data exchanges between BSAPs;
  • Knowledge of the role of TEAMWorks Super-User and administration of the system;
  • Ability to deliver training and presentations to TEAMWorks users and management;
  • Working knowledge of other Bechtel Construction BSAPs;
  • Advanced knowledge of the Completion and Turnover process from Construction to Startup.

Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.)
