The Wheatstone LNG Project is a multi-train Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and domestic gas (DomGas) plant near Onslow on the Pilbara Coast. Bechtel is honored to participate in the engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of this LNG plant.
Bechtel is seeking an ES&H Representative - Tanks to join the Wheatstone LNG Project working from the Onslow site.
Role Overview
Your main responsibilities will include
- Implementingthe project-level safety management program for our tank construction work.
- Providing assistance to project and construction management in implementing and complying with project HSE requirements and in addressing safety/health issues as they arise during project execution.
- Coordinating and providing technical assistance to other project-assigned functional leads (e.g., engineering, subcontracts, procurement, project controls) with regards to compliance with project-specific safety/health requirements.
- Participating in meetings with customer, project team members, and subcontractors to advise them of safety requirements that may affect project design, schedule, and cost.
- Providing technical support and assistance directly to construction supervision and subcontractors in planning and executing field activities in accordance with the project safety requirements.
- Working with construction and sub contract personnel to assure development ofrisk assessments, JHA's and project specific mitigation plans, safety and health awareness training programs, and technical and regulatory reports.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in ES&H/Management or related science/engineering area; and good ES&H professionalexperience in a tank and/or heavy construction is preferred
- Knowledge ofWestern AustralianWorkplace Health and Safety laws and regulations and proficiency in applying them to the project is preferred
- Previous refinery/chemical/LNG plant tank construction HSE experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of safe work practices and experience in conducting accident investigations, compliance audits and project health surveys
- Proficiency in conducting ES&H training programs
- Proficiency in assisting construction with development of risk assessments and associated job hazard analysis.
- Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft software applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training is preferred
- Why Tree or equivalent Root Cause Analysis Certificate is preferred
