We are seeking a Vice President, Governance, Risk & Compliance for our global Information Technology (IT) department. He/she will be a member of the global Chief Information Officer's (CIO) direct staff and serve as a critical member of our global IT leadership team. We are going through a transition. Our processes need to mature. Our focus is more global. Our financials are becoming more complex given the emphasis on billable and revenue generating services. And much, much more. Accordingly, we are seeking a seasoned executive with global experience, maturity and leadership and a breadth of IT skills. He/she will oversee a group of resources located around the globe. Specifically, he/she will serve as our liaison to global procurement and finance; lead our compliance processes to include SOX, DCAA and other focus areas; oversee and drive our governance and project management methodology; work with Audit and the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) office to minimize and mitigate risk; lead strategic projects including merger and acquisition (M&A) activity; own our global strategic and operating plans; own our asset management procedures; and much more. MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: 1. Driving a global culture focused on stewardship of IT assets, compliance and controllership and risk mitigation. 2. Recruit, retain and develop talent focused in the various GRC areas. 3. Coordinate IT's financial submissions (budgets, outlooks, etc), look for ways to optimize our procurement and put processes in place to track, predict and optimize billable and revenue-generating labor. 4. Own our global asset management process to include the systems, processes and talent for both hardware and software assets. Drive predictability in our plant, property and equipment (PP&E) spend. Reduce and mitigate software compliance issues. 5. Facilitate, with the help of procurement and the asset owner, all renewals, true-ups and negotiations with major IT vendors. 6. Drive governance to include owning and facilitating our project management methodology (PMM). Coordinate project reviews and processes required to review, prioritize and execute projects. Note that the project managers are located with the various IT teams. 7. Proactively seek out ways to mitigate risk within IT. Serves as a key contact to our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. 8. Coordinates the delivery of and maintains IT's strategic plans to include our 3- and 5-year roadmaps; industry benchmarks and assessments; and industry trend analysis. 9. Lead projects as dictated by the CIO to include, but not limited to, spearheading due diligence and integration work for merger and acquisition (M&A) activity. 10. Coordinate compliance activities to include tracking plans, coordinating testing and maintaining action plans for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other audits both internal and external. 11. Facilitate an approach to process improvement and cost optimization efforts leveraging principles like Six Sigma, lean, Kaizen and others utilizing tools and approaches like value stream mapping and data analysis tools. 12. Serve as a key IT leader for coordinating talent pipeline activities for IT to include initiating an internship program and a leadership program for college graduates. 13. Serve as the liaison to corporate procurement for efforts to reduce spend, drive synergies and assist in any other activities. 14. Defines, develops, implements and maintains enterprise wide IT balanced scorecard / dashboard for regularly measuring department performance to service level agreements. 15. Work with colleagues as we evolve the "Technology as a Service" offering where IT can provide revenue-generating services to clients. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES 1. Bachelor's Degree. Concentration in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or related field is preferred. Master's Degree preferred. 2. Experience in GRC or GRC-related activities is preferred especially for large global companies. In lieu of GRC experience, breadth of skills and previous experience in leading budgets, governance, audits and/or related activity will be considered. 3. Have managed complex budgets (prefer greater than $30MM) and is familiar with GAAP and other financial policies. 4. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) experience; an aptitude for finance; and creative,proactive initiative. 5. Familiar with and experience leading contractual negotiations. 6. Global experience. 7. Extensive background in project and portfolio management processes, techniques, methodologies and tools 8. Demonstrated financial and business process knowledge including procurement, financial back office functions, vendor management, etc. 9. Prior leadership in a global IT organization and company 10. Experience with global ERP systems, business intelligence systems, project accounting systems and/or other enterprise-class solutions. 11. Experience in planning, facilitating, and managing change 12. Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills are mandatory. Strong executive presence. 13. Proven ability to negotiate and influence decisions at senior and executive management levels and within a matrix organization 14. Have led or participated in M&A activities. 15. PMP and/or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred 16. Ability to work in a matrixed, dual-report environment where not all resources are directly owned by you. 17. Experience in delivering process improvement initiatives and experience with business capability mapping tools such as process and value stream mapping, QFD and SWOT analysis, affinity diagrams and / or other related process-oriented tools. 18. Architecture, engineering and construction experience desired. However, relevant business and IT experiences are also ok. This is an exciting time to join AECOM and our global IT team.
