AECOM is hiring an Inspector III to support our Transportation group in Chicago. Perform all duties of on-site construction engineering observation for roadway and bridge construction projects, with working knowledge of Illinois road and bridge construction standards, well developed verbal and written communication skills, and ability to perform duties on days, nights and weekends. Physical demands include daily outdoor, summer and winter conditions, construction site observations by walking or standing for up to 6 hours per shift; ability to kneel, squat, stoop or bend to perform documentation tasks; climb ladders, stairs and steep slopes; access elevated locations such as scaffolds and platforms; ability to drive and reach from floor level to overhead. The preferred candidate 5-10 years of on-site transportation construction observation experience, working knowledge of Illinois road and bridge construction standards, possessing well developed verbal and written communication skills, and ability to perform duties on days, nights and weekends. Physical demands include daily outdoor, summer and winter conditions, construction site observations by walking or standing for up to 6 hours per shift; ability to kneel, squat, stoop or bend to perform documentation tasks; climb ladders, stairs and steep slopes; access elevated locations such as scaffolds and platforms; licensed to drive vehicle and reach from floor level to overhead.
